What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
Please join us on Tuesdays for our weekly "A Course In Miracles" group. You are welcome to share, put forth questions, dialogue or simply listen - it’s a group effort! Our group is normally between 10-15 people. “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ― Marianne Williamson (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/17297.Marianne_Williamson), A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles" (https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes/1239848) Bonnie Lee and Jim Hensley will facilitate this group in a loving, safe environment. To live as a fully realized being, one must recognize that this is the case, then find various ways to see it, and put into practice what you have learned. This is a miracle. A miracle is simply a change in perception. You already are enlightened. A miracle doesn't take powerful healings or a so-called Act of God. God has already acted. Now it's time to come discover who you already are. The textbook and practice lessons are valuable to your growth, but not necessary to come to this class and benefit from it. Classes are free, but love donations are always welcome.
Library of Yale Hall-Center for Awakening Consciousness
Every Wednesday Starting 1/23/19 7:00 – 8:30 pm Yale Library Imagine what it’s like, at the age of three, to be confronted with the question of never having come into existence. Is that a possibility? Renowned psychiatrist, physician, and spiritual teacher, Dr. David R. Hawkins, was confronted with such a high spiritual dilemma at a young age, a prime example of the dilemmas faced by high spiritual beings in their lifetime upon this earth. Dr. Hawkins devoted his life to truth, and as such, developed what is known as the Map of Consciousness which denotes the differing levels of truth of various phenomena. What level of truth does the Bible have? What level of truth the Koran? The U.S. Constitution? Levels of truth (or awareness), as explained by Dr. Hawkins, are determined by the proximity of something to the universal truth of the oneness of Divinity. Emotions like hate, anger, and fear, have a low energy level and are not supportive of life, therefore, they calibrate low on the Map of Consciousness. But anything that is based upon love, peace, and compassion will calibrate high on the map of consciousness because of their high vibrational frequency (they support life and are reflective of Divinity). Beginning in January, we will begin a weekly Dr. Hawkins study group for those who are familiar with his material or wish to learn more. It is highly recommended that those interested at least have read one of his books (Power vs. Force is a great start) and are committed to integrity. Finding out that certain things we love have a low level of consciousness can be disconcerting at first, but commitment to love and integrity helps let things go. It should be noted that this is a STUDY group, not a class, and as such, Jesus will not be taking the role of instructor. One of the most basic teachings of Devotional Nonduality is the reliance of Divinity for spiritual truth and understanding. Therefore, most Dr. Hawkins groups are conducted with prayer and the intention for Divinity to reveal the deeper meaning behind things, as well as for letting go of ego. These study groups will be conducted the same way. Meetings will be held every Wednesday starting January 23, 2019, at Yale Library at 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. All are welcome. This is a FREE study group. Donations to support the church and facilities cost are welcome. Jesus Quintero will be the facilitator of the study group. Jesus has studied Dr. Hawkins material (also known as Devotional Nonduality) for over seven years and has committed his own life to the highest integrity through the study of such work.
