Weekly Mom-to-Mom Support Group
We meet (almost) every Thursday to vent, ask questions, and support each other in our postpartum journeys. Many of our attendees are struggling with a mental health issue like postpartum depression; others are angry, overwhelmed, or just confused about the transition to motherhood. This is a safe, supportive environment. Babies always welcome. The Family Room is a mom-friendly place with a changing table, clean couches and floors, toys, and easy free street parking right outside. This is a free, ongoing group so moms are welcome whenever they like. We also have an email list for this group that is separate from Meetup. If you would like to be added to that list, please email me at [masked]. I sometimes forget to post about meetings on Meetup, but I always remember to remind the email list.

    What we're about

This is a FREE group for moms who have or had a maternal mood disorder such as postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, postpartum OCD, postpartum psychosis and pregnancy depression. We meet (almost) every Thursday from 1-2:30 pm at The Family Room in San Marino, just a few minutes from Pasadena. The location is convenient to anyone in the San Gabriel Valley, Silverlake, Los Feliz, downtown LA, La Cañada, La Creacenta, Alhambra, Arcadia, Monrovia, Altadena, South Pasadena and Echo Park.Check our website,, for up-to-date information. All moms are welcome. Babies are also welcome. The Family Room has toys, a changing table, breastfeeding pillows and air conditioning. It is a very safe and comfortable place. Ask questions. Share your story. Or just listen. This is a supportive environment where you can talk with moms who understand. I have found it is very cathartic to talk about my bout of PPD - let's talk about it together! No need to sign up. New moms always welcome. Come every week or sporadically - whatever works for you.

Can't make it on Thursday? There's a weekly podcast, Adventures With Postpartum Depression, available on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher. Every week, different moms share their stories to help end the stigma and to let others know that we are not alone.
