What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in running, hiking or walking with dogs. We'll participate in local events such as the Pasadena Humane Society's Wiggle Waggle Walk. We'll also have social outings at dog-related events, such as Disc Dog and Agility competitions. I started this group to give humans of all skill levels and canines of all breeds a supportive, judgement-free environment in which to pursue athletic goals and meet other fun people and dogs.

Rattlesnake Aversion Training in La Crescenta

Needs a location

It is estimated that a rattlesnake bite can run $2,000 to $5,000 with no guarantee the dog will survive. Pasadena Running Dogs is teaming with Natural Solutions to train our dogs to avoid rattlesnakes altogether. Preventing a bite is a major step to mitigating an expensive vet bill. COST: $77 per dog LOCATION: La Crescenta, CA REGISTER: Via Google Docs at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1u3WJT2TITdBU1oUea8Tw0yqsmnfyNgiOtBUMSwGO0ng ** Only three dogs per half hour block; your schedule must be confirmed; this is NOT on a walk-in basis.** Natural Solutions' will use rattlesnakes prevalent in the area. Dogs are exposed by sight, smell and sound. All snakes are muzzled, not defanged like some other rattlesnake classes. Keeping snakes muzzled ensures the snakes retain their unique scent that the dog will associate. =================================== The clinic will be held in La Crescenta, CA. Address will be sent to all confirmed participants. Confirmation is only made when full payment is received. An email confirmation will be sent to you. Cost is $77 per dog, which includes credit card fee. Credit card payments only. Payment information will be sent when your registration is received. Please allow 24 hours to allow coordinator to respond. More information will be sent when your official registration form is received (see https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1u3WJT2TITdBU1oUea8Tw0yqsmnfyNgiOtBUMSwGO0ng).

The SIPP program was established to assist owners who love their rescue dogs, but are considering returning them to the shelter due to behavioral issues that can be corrected with training. LARPBO assists these individuals by providing low cost training, free group walks and a community of support. Through their SIPP program, they also distribute group training vouchers to shelters throughout the Los Angeles area and to individual dog handlers who require assistance and meet the criteria for assistance. The vouchers cover the LARPBO $15 group class fee. LARPBO's goal is to keep all dogs in their current loving homes and out of shelters.
