What we're about
Paw Print Hearts is a local animal rescue established in June of 2014 to help deal with the pet overpopulation problem in Hillsborough County and surrounding counties. Many people are unaware of what happens at their local county animal shelters. After a group of volunteers spent time there, they discovered the volume of wonderful dogs being left at the shelter for a host of reasons, some of which the poor owners had no control over, and some of which they did. These volunteers were closely watching good and healthy dogs die in high-kill animal shelters. They decided to do something about it and established Paw Print Hearts Animal Rescue. This group works on getting many of these dogs transported to NO KILL, out-of-state shelters, where these great, deserving dogs will find their forever homes. Paw Print Hearts also rehomes dogs locally by holding weekly adoption events. Last year alone, over 600 dogs were rescued and saved by these caring, dedicated volunteers. Due to our growth, Paw Print Hearts now needs additional good, dedicated volunteers to help us with this worthy cause. We cannot do it without our valuable volunteers! There are many aspects of our rescue, one of which is we work to raise funds for transport, boarding, vetting etc., for these animals that are at high risk of being killed. Our rescue usually saves them at the 11th hour; giving an opportunity to other Adopters or Rescues to take them. We need help with many aspects of our rescue such as:
Socializing...helping to socialize our dogs through playgroups along with weekly community outreach adoption events.
Exercise...weekly dog walking of our dogs.
Fundraising..helping plan and coordinate fundraising adoption events.
Transport...organizing and preparing our out-of-state transports. Driving some of these out-of-state transports, if qualified to do so.
Data Entry...assisting with keeping track of the voluminous information we keep on each and every dog.
Graphics Design...preparing flyers and posters to announce upcoming events, or to just get the word out about our dogs and our rescue.
Social Media....assisting with keeping up our Social Media pages. We are on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
Paw Print Hearts Animal Rescue is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. We cannot save lives without donations and the help of volunteers. THANK YOU!
