The idea is simple: WE PAY IT FORWARD. We meet at a local event, fundraiser, organization or agency, roll up our sleeves, and then volunteer.
Our group is aimed at creating a place for like-minded people to meet while helping their community.

- RSVP to this Meetup event
- Create or sign in to your volunteer account on the Food Bank site http://vhub.at/PayItForwardOttawa
- Select your shift and follow the prompts to register
- Once registered, please carefully read your confirmation email and watch the instructional video.
The Food Bank relies on volunteers to sort and pack donated food in their warehouse.
- This opportunity involves unpacking donated food and sorting into 29 categories in our warehouse.
- This activity involves reading and writing as well as bending, lifting, and carrying of boxes of up to 20 lbs.
- The minimum age permitted in the warehouse is 14 years with parental permission
