Want to make a difference in our community? If so, join fellow Flash Mob Volunteers for sandwich making at The Ottawa Mission. The Ottawa Mission is a local organization that provides relief to the homeless and the hungry in the Ottawa area. As a group we will work together at the Mission to make and wrap the sandwiches, which will later be distributed to the homeless by the staff.

I am going to make this very easy for our members to participate.I will be purchasing ALL of the supplies (up front - and out of pocket). All you have to do is show up, pay $7 or so towards the supplies and help make the sandwiches!

We will start working at 1:30 PM because we need to be out of the dining area well ahead of 3:00 PM, I will split us up into 4 groups of 4 and hopefully you will get to make some new friends while working in your group. Our combined effort will make a very tangible donation to people in need, and you will definitely have fun while working as a team and socializing with friends.

It was suggested at our last event that the group should go out for coffee after we finish making sandwiches at the Mission, so if you are interested, stick around and we will head to the Byward Market soon after we wrap up.

Note: The Ottawa Mission will gladly accept used men’s clothes. ( also lists the top 10 items in need.

Your Organizer depends on you to show up and do your part, including your financial contribution.

Therefore, attendance will be monitored at this event. If you RSVP’d Yes and you cancel the same day as the event or do not show up, your RSVP may be removed from future events where attendance is monitored.

Remember: We are doing this for PEOPLE IN NEED! :-)
