Title: Business rules in Pentaho Data integration: How to get a hold of your data
Synopsis: Dealing with data is hard, in special when there is a large variety of data. Usually, enterprises do not know much about the real value that they can extract from their data. However, it becomes clear that some source systems have data not fully structured but still follows specific patterns generating a “data footprint”. If you know the rules that define the footprint, you will be able to automatically assess and identify while the data is getting loaded to a Data Lake or a Data Warehouse. Making sure your data is ready to be interpreted by your analytic tools.
In this talk, it will be shown how Pentaho Data Integration can assess your data avoiding spend too much time looking into the issues of the input data.
Talk 2:
Title: Neo4J in C-tools. How? PDI!
Synopsis: we start with a raw shapefile downloaded from Natural Earth, parse it with PDI and load the resulting data into neo4j. Then we interactively display the world as nodes and relationships using C-Tools.
