March on DC for Climate, Jobs & Justice: City-wide Meeting

The Women’s Marches all around the country were powerful statements…and a dynamic indication that people in ever corner of our nation are ready to take to the streets to stand up to what the Trump Administration and their pals in Congress are already starting to do. Now is the time to tap into that energy!

Almost everyday there will be news coming out of Washington that will make us want to hit the streets again. Trump has signed executive orders to move ahead on the Keystone XL Pipeline and the Dakota Access Pipeline! His cabinet selections are all terrible, but allow us to call your attention to the men he wants to have in charge of this country’s energy policies….it’s a nightmare.

In the coming days, weeks, months there will certainly be many opportunities to march and rally and make our voices heard. At the same time, we know that mobilizations have their greatest impact when they are part of an organizing effort, and when planning goes into pulling them together.

You have the opportunity now to help build the NYC organizing plan for what promises to be a critically important mobilization in Washington DC on April 29th. This is when the People’s Climate Movement - and the many organizations that are part of the coalition - will march in the nation’s capital for Climate, Jobs and Justice!
