What is your experience with permaculture?

My Mom taught me most of these principles as a child. Now I am getting certified through VGI with their Permaculture Design Certification Courses which are a hoot! Looking for a new place to live so I can start fresh with a PC design. Currently studying permaculture principles; Holmgren’s principles 1 observe 2 catch and store energy 3 obtain a yield 4 apply self-regulation and accept feedback 5 use and value renewable resources and services 6 produce no waste 7 Design from patterns and details 8 Integrate rather than segregate (system design rather than component design) 9 use small and slow solutions 10 use and value diversity 11 use edges and value the marginal 12 creatively use and respond to change Mollison’s principles Work with nature rather than against it The problem is the solution Make the least change for the greatest possible effect The yield of a system is theoretically unlimited. Everything gardens (everything effects its environment)

What do you want to learn?

How to better explain to people what permaculture is and why its so important to always try to get a little closer to nature in all we do.

Introduction

I'm a nature lover and a student of permaculture through the Victory Garden Initiative (VGI)
