Monthly Membership Meeting

Details
Our meetups vary from group discussions to short education sessions to hands-on learning experiences. The first Wednesday of each month is our group meeting where we brainstorm and consolidate our plans for the next few months. These meetings also include short info sessions on the 12 Permaculture principles and an introduction to the work bee session on the following Saturday. These meetings are held from 6-7:30 pm at the Urban Roots Farm (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=3001+West+4th+Street%2C+Reno%2C+NV), 3001 West 4th Street, Reno, NV. Starting in January 2014, we expect to be expanding education component.
The Workbees are our hands-on events and are designed to bring the PNN community together to help members accomplish a project while learning new skills. We have regular 'Monthly Workbees' and in addition, anyone is welcome to suggest and host meetups (workbees, social gatherings, educational events, discussion groups, etc). Monthly Workbees have a preliminary education component, rotate locations, and are planned out ahead of time. We request that you attend the meeting if possible to bring yourself up to speed about the coming Monthly Workbee and to collectively organize other social and hands-on opportunities for the group. Of course you can attend any event even if you can't come to the meetings. The Monthly Workbees are hosted on the morning of the third Saturday of the month.
All members are encouraged to organize events that are in addition to our monthly meetings and workbees. If you have an idea for an event, please email it to the group or one of the group organizers and we'll work with you to gather information and support (if needed) and to get the event posted on the meetup site. After you have hosted one event, we will make you a co-organizer and you can post events for the group at any time. At our events, we strive to maintain the mission and goals of PNN, which can be viewed at http://permaculturenorthernnevada.wikispaces.com/About
