Details

Do you love gardening? Do you think Northern Nevada is a beautiful place to live? Do you love the Truckee River? If you answered “Yes!" to any of these questions, then you’ll be excited about this webinar on Truckee River-Friendly Landscaping. The talk will cover how to create a beautiful landscape that you’ll love while protecting the Truckee River watershed. You’ll learn how to apply “river-friendly” gardening techniques that keep water onsite and keep pollutants out of our waterways.

About the speaker-

Carrie Jensen is a landscape architect, environmental educator, and native plant enthusiast. She is a native Nevadan and has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in education from San Jose State University. In her early professional career, she worked for environmental non-profits teaching general water science and watershed pollution awareness. From there, she has gone on to pursue landscape architecture and environmental consulting. Currently, she is a landscape architect with Lumos and Associates and an environmental education consultant for One Truckee River. In her spare time, Carrie loves gardening (emphasis on native plants and edibles), reading, and riding her bike.
