MAIN GOAL OF THE EVENING
The goal of the evening is to give the participants a realistic idea of the added value of blockchain technology in the field of agriculture in what we call "developed" - and "developing" countries, How could we introduce blockchain thinking in bio-food, garments productions and evasion of illegal crops (like coca plants) in a feasible way?
No hype, no wishful thinking but we explore the future foundational and disruptive changes that the technology will cause in conjunction with other developments like spread of internet, smart phones and gps. People are key to progress.
18:00hrs : Meetup in K-space
Bas Wisselink is going to do the blockchain basics workshop. Our meetup has always a introductory part for newcomers but we always deepen basic understanding with The state of sense and non-sense' in the field. So also for our regular visitors: don't miss out on Bas because he is going to enrich the presentation with current developments that are topical to the theme.

Where to start?
"Double spending" of organic cotton in India?
fiber (crops) to yarn, yarn to fabric, fabric to garments, garments to end-consumer. How to proof compliance to organic production in every step?
Organic products - signing of the fabric manager? GPS?
Proof of Compliance
Loads to talk about and maybe somebody in the audience has a luminous idea!
19:45 Break
20:00 hrs: What the hack can we do with blockchain in Sustainability and Agro?
Many steps in the agro production process have to become more sustainable. However the production of garments and leather are unchangeably "dirty". Choose your battles.
Sustainable improvement is possible: proof of existence final product, proof of compliance in process, proof of location, proof of identity of people and 'things'.
Henk van Cann introduces blockchain technology against the backdrop of more sustainable agro business. He shares his findings from a worldwide ICT4Ag Outlook congress in October 2017 held in Rhenen the Netherlands, where 70 experts from the global agro business field in developing countries discussed the possible added value of blockchain.
