Windows Azure - Authenticating all the things
Details
Authenticating all the things in the Azure cloud
Description
The options for cloud authentication have recently been expanded within Windows Azure. Azure now provides complete Identity Management as a Service, giving you an easy way to provide single sign on for users with very little code by integrating with your on-premises Active Directory, creating your own directory just for your application, or by using a number of other providers such as Facebook and Twitter.
For more complex authentication needs, you can easily extend your on-premises Active Directory into the cloud for direct user authentication sitting close to your applications that stands resilient to failure.
This session will walk you through an overview of the full range of Identity Management options in Azure, allowing you to gain an understanding of which option would best fit your particular environment:
• Windows Azure Access Control Service (ACS)
• Windows Azure Active Directory (WAAD)
• Extending On-Premises Active Directory into Azure with a Virtual Machine
