OpenStack @ Pawsey Supercomputing Centre

By special invitation and not to be be missed, Mark Gray, Data Technical Specialist at Pawsey will talk about how they're planning to use OpenStack over the next couple of years.

Pawsey Supercomputing Centre is the home of Magnus, one of the fastest high performance computers in the Southern Hemisphere. They operate Magnus in support of Australian research, including the pathfinder Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescopes.

Mark will explain how Pawsey is using OpenStack to integrate research computing services and provide opportunities for researchers to investigate novel approaches to getting problems solved.

During the meetup Pawsey staff will be pleased to offer attendees tours of the facility and talk about the range of services offered to researchers.
