We meet for social tennis, Sunday mornings. Robertson Park Tennis Club, Fitzgerald Street, North Perth The start time is 9.00am, playing to 10.30am. Please put your name down, as the court hire requirements for Sunday will be finalised with Robertson Park on Saturday. Cost varies from $8 depending on how many courts we need to use. You also need to bring your own racquet or hire one. I will bring tennis balls for the group. We usually play doubles, occasionally singles, or american singles depending on the numbers, changing partners about 3 times during the session. Sometimes afterwards we head off to a local café for coffee/brunch depending on what everyone is doing with the rest of their day. Please RSVP by Saturday 3pm on this site so I have a chance to set up a good rotation of fixtures. New people please show up or amend RSVP by Saturday 3pm and also send me a message detailing A) Your ability level B) How long since you last played C) Do you have your own racquet. Just so I can put in an appropriate fixture. Thank you. See you on the courts 9am sharp. We are usually on court number 8, 9 and 10...head past the clubrooms towards the big oak trees. See you there on Sunday Thanks Lindell
The 1st of November is being marketed as the great Mothers Day redo. You may wish to bear this in mind if considering this event. There may be some expectations floating around out there. The description below is fairly self explanatory, but I won’t attest to the factual basis of anything in the description or the presentation. I will note that the health talk is scheduled to be 30 minutes long. .You might get some PITA with your pitta. I hope not, but no guarantees. I’m always looking for different things to do and this package deal is not most people’s normal Sunday evening routine. They don’t sell alcohol at the restaurant and you are not allowed to bring your own. Please buy your ticket prior to RSVPing to this event. People who choose to RSVP without buying their ticket create unnecessary admin for organisers. Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. Just as everyone has a unique fingerprint, each person has a particular pattern of energy—an individual combination of physical, mental and emotional characteristics—which comprises their own constitution or Dosha - in Ayurveda these are known as - Vata - The Energy of Movement and is made of Air and Ether Pitta - The Energy of Digestion and Metabolism is made of Fire and little water Kapha - The Energy of Lubrication is made of Earth and Water Yoga is like the sun itself, which brightens everything that comes into contact with it. Yoga is usually defined as a union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. The aim of Yoga is not really to unite us with anything for we are already united. It is to help us realise our identity with the Divine Self, to make us know and tune into our intrinsic nature. India - $5 from every ticket purchased will be going towards providing food for the poor affected by Covid 19 in India. In India the situation is getting worse, and most people are dying of starvation. If anyone would like to donate more you can do so on the day. Quiz night. $20 special includes a cheeseburger, chips and pint, but order as you wish. The table could be bar height or normal table height. No guarantees. I look forward to meeting new and old friends. 💐 If you have not enabled messages, I can not contact you except by posting a comment on the event page. The group's founder has implemented a 2 strike rule to eliminate the no shows and serial late cancellers. If you are a no show, you will get a strike. If you cancel after 9am on the day, you will get a strike. There may be discretion for people who have a good track record and who have extenuating circumstances. It takes effort to find and book things to do and answer questions, so please be considerate. Someone else likely would want your spot and the venues may seem relatively busy now, but many of them will need two years of good trade to make up for the restrictions. Thanks for your understanding.
