Craig Onafrychuk from the MNRF will present on LiDAR

This presentation will focus on the latest advancements on airborne topographic LiDAR. Emphasis will be placed on Ontario’ provincial high resolution elevation data holdings. A technical overview of lidar data will be conducted while comparing and contrasting against other high resolution datasets including photogrammetric sourced data. A discussion of lidar specifications, point cloud source data, software resources, high resolution derivatives, and sample applications will be explored.
