North Hills meeting/sock exchange - The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble
UPDATE - WE ARE CONFIRMED IN A MEETING ROOM AT BRAVO. THEY WILL ONLY ALLOW US TO HAVE SEPARATE CHECKS IF WE DON'T GO OVER 15 PEOPLE. SO I'M LIMITING THIS TO 15 WITH A WAITING LIST AND NOT ALLOWING GUESTS. IF YOU FIND YOU CAN'T GO, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR RSVP. I will be the host for this meeting, our last one of the year! In December we always have an all-location holiday party somewhere central to all of the locations. Watch the Meetup site or your email for details for that party. Note we're meeting a week later than normal due to Thanksgiving. Here's some info for the 11/28/18 meeting: HOLIDAY SOCK EXCHANGE: We had such a good time with the holiday sock exchange last year we decided to do it again. The rules are as follows. 1. Purchase a pair of festive holiday socks. 2. Fill them with fun things another member would enjoy. 3. Our limit is $15 including the cost of the socks. 4. You can find a lot of nice things for that $15. We only ask that you NOT fill them with stuff from the dollar store. Think about it this way - is this stuff I'd want to receive? 5. We'll exchange them at the meeting. I'll put a couple pics to use as ideas in the comments. BOOK WE'RE READING - The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble (I see right now this book is $7.99 on Kindle and Nook) The Reading Group follows the trials and tribulations of a group of women who meet regularly to read and discuss books.Over the course of a year, each of these women become intertwined, both in the books they read and within each other's lives. Inspired by a shared desire for conversation, a good book and a glass of wine-Clare, Harriet, Nicole, Polly, and Susan undergo startling revelations and transformations despite their differences in background, age and respective dilemmas. What starts as a reading group gradually evolves into a forum where the women may express their views through the books they read and grow to become increasingly more open as the bonds of friendship cement. In The Reading Group, Noble reveals the many complicated paths in life we all face as well as the power and importance of friendship.

What we're about

Listen up Fashionistas! If you love chick lit novels with a strong female protagonist, including chick lit, mommy lit and bride lit, this is the book club for you. New York or London- our girl characters take charge, get promoted and find love, all in 300 pages or less. Let's chat and swap our favorite titles!

How To Pay Dues:

Dues are $15 per year. They can be paid to your individual assistant meetup organizer at book club or you can "send money" via paypal FRIENDS & FAMILY to pghchicklit@gmail.com. Please make sure you use Friends and Family so we aren't charged a service fee.

If you join between September and December 2018, you will only owe $5 for 2018. In January of 2019, you will pay $15 for the year.

Thank you!
