What are some of your favorite critical thinking topics?

I spend a lot of time reading up on medical quackery. I also keep tabs on the textbook industry and their attempts to eliminate science and revise history.

do you have any favorite authors?

In terms of critical thinking I believe everyone should read 1984; a modern followup is Cory Doctorow's "Little Brother". Favorite evolution writer is Stephen Jay Gould. For dystopian futures Margaret Atwood and Paolo Bacigalupi.

Introduction

I work in medical research and am the mother of 2 girls, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. I'm a very voracious reader, mostly nonfiction, sci-fi, folklore, sword&sorcery. I grew up in the Philly area, moved to 10 other states, and I'm back.
