Have you ever wanted to go to a formal dance but didn’t want to spend a lot of money on expensive attire? Wouldn’t it just be easier to hit up a thrift shop for some “classy” threads and then head to an event where you wouldn’t be judged for doing so? Whether you have asked yourself these questions or these questions have sparked your interest, this event is for you.

Any kind of second-hand formal wear will do: wedding and prom dresses, tuxedos and zoot suits, etc. You don’t even have to limit yourself to thrift shops. We suggest going through your parents or even your grandparents closets. You could even go “Pretty in Pink” and take two really nice dresses and combine them into one ugly dress. The choice is yours.

The event is being held at Parkside Beef & Ale. Food and alcohol will be available for you to purchase. We will be playing a lot of dance party favorites like “Cha-cha Slide”, “Macarena”, “The Loco-Motion”, “Limbo” and who knows what else. Requests can be made as well.

We will be giving prizes away for the “classiest dressers” in various categories. The categories will include “Best Vintage”, “Best Homemade”, “Best Formal”, and “Ugliest Attire”. Prizes will be $5 gift cards to various retail establishments.
