What we're about

Philadelphia Cohousing is a group for those interested in living in or supporting cohousing communities in the Philadelphia area. This space is sponsored by Wissahickon Village Cohousing (http://WVCohousing.org/) (WVC) in NW Philadelphia but we welcome and want to promote all Philadelphia area cohousing groups including K'House (http://house.indyhall.org/) in the Philadelphia Kensington neighborhood, Altair Cohousing (http://www.altaircohousing.org/) in Kimberton (just outside of Phoenixville), PA and Three Groves Ecovillage (http://threegrovesecovillage.com/) (TGE) in West Grove, PA (north of Newark, DE). TGE is close to breaking ground on their cohousing community!

WVC is a group of community-oriented people of diverse ages and family configurations who have been together since 2010 with the goal of forming a cohousing community in Northwest Philadelphia. We share a desire to live more ecologically, economically, and in closer connection with our neighbors. We're in active discussions with Mt Airy developer Ken Weinstein about developing the Mt Airy Presbyterian Church offices and school building into cohousing.
