Full Site Editing Review and Test-a-thon
Details
Full Site Editing in WordPress is the next generation of building sites in the block editor. This workflow is a fundamental to how the world's most used CMS will work in the future. The community is invited to test the new experience and features and to provide feedback.
In this 1.5 hour usability event, we'll participate in a group testing session to build a "Polished Portfolio." https://make.wordpress.org/test/2021/05/26/fse-program-testing-call-7-polished-portfolios/
This event is for all levels of WordPress users. No coding skills are needed. All you need is:
- a blank installation with the latest version of WordPress,
- the Gutenberg plugin,
- the theme TT1 Blocks, and
- a few images that you'll use in your site's posts.
If you don't have an active staging or local development environment such as https://localwp.com/ ready to go you can also use https://jurassic.ninja/ to start up a testing site in under a few minutes.
Eileen will kick off the event with an intro about FSE and a review of the steps to complete the test. You'll get the most out of the event if you join with your staging site set up and ready to go.
We'll follow the posted plan for the latest testing call https://make.wordpress.org/test/2021/05/26/fse-program-testing-call-7-polished-portfolios/, get a look at FSE under the hood and prepare feedback on our progress and what we see along the the way.
