How would you like to get up close and personal with a Clydesdale—one of the largest and gentlest breed of horse? Join us on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., for a trail ride, carriage ride, barn tour and bonfire.

Clydesdales are extremely powerful but gentle giants, used as carriage animals around the world, because of their strength and hardiness. They are highly trainable, and can be trained to carry a rider, pull a carriage and perform at shows.

Recognized by thousands as the Budweiser horse breed, these animals are incredibly docile, beautiful, and HUGE (measuring over 18 hands tall and weighing over 2000 pounds). We've worked with the ranch owners to put together a unique afternoon for you!

Based upon the skill level and size of our group, we will be split into two sections. The first group will begin with a trail ride. We’ll saddle up these powerful creatures for a 50 minute trail ride through the beautiful scenery of the ranch.

While the first group is tackling the trail, the second group will be introduced to the horses with a barn tour followed by a carriage ride. A brief riding lesson will be provided to individuals who have not ridden before, so all skill levels are welcome. This part of your experience will require approximately 50 minutes.

After each group has taken up the trail, toured the barn and relaxed in the carriage, we will meet at the bonfire for smores!

Price: $120.00, includes all arrangements and logistics, credit card fees, carriage ride, barn tour, 50 minute guided trail ride on a Clydesdale, TerraMar guide certified in wilderness first aid and CPR, and all-you-can-eat smores!

The specific address and directions of the meet-up location will be provided only to registered participants. The first 20 to register and pay will go. An RSVP through Meetup does not reserve your spot. To register, you must go to our website, And visit the event page here and click on "register."
