Glassblowing returns! - Paper weights and Valentines

Details
Get your glassblowing on! Have you ever wanted to play with liquid glass at 2000 degrees Farhenheit just to see how it moves? This artistic adventure is definitely for you!
Glass is a fascinating material: blow, cut, snip, and mold glass. You will have the option of making a glass ornament OR a flower for Valentines day.
First, they will entertain us with a demonstration showing different glassblowing techniques. A professional glassblower will explain the technical details and equipment as we tour their facility.
Then they will divide us up to different work stations in order to make our very own masterpiece! We will have the studio to ourselves for 2.5 hours with personalized one-on-one instruction.
We will get to see first hand the beautiful creations that the glass blowers complete on a daily basis and learn the fundamentals of a beautiful and unique form of art. You will be able to pick up your creation a few days afterwards, or if you prefer, bring an extra $15 and they will ship it to you.
Clothing and Equipment: It is recommended that glassblowers wear cotton or wool clothing. Long-sleeved cotton tee's and blue jeans are suggested. You must come with closed-toe shoes and avoid wearing metal/jewelry as it can heat up in the shop. All equipment will be provided.
Directions: Detailed directions will be sent to all registrants. This is in Philadelphia.
Cost includes: Glassblowing facility tour and lecture, hands-on instruction and workshop, make-your-own glass creation, all logistics, all credit card fees, guide trained in CPR and first aid.
