We are the Philadelphia Drunken Knitwits, and we are knit-aholics! Sip by sip and stitch by stitch, we continue to pursue the holy grail of drunken knitting to show off to our friends: a hand-crafted item whose place, time, and method of construction cannot entirely be recalled. We meet every WEDNESDAY evening at a different spot in Center or University City for drinks and crafting. Every 3rd Sunday of the month, we meet for afternoon coffee in Kensington. Special events by announcement.
New members are welcome to come along for a month before joining. The cost of membership is a reasonable $30 annually for full time membership or $15 for Knitwits who cannot attend more than once a month.
Founded in Oxford (UK) with chapters in Cambridge, Manchester, and Newbury (UK), Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane (Australia), Dublin (Ireland), Boston, and now Philly! All skill levels and all genders welcome! 21+ only.
