Coffee and Chill: The Java Returns

Di Bruno Bros. - The Franklin

After a long hiatus, we are back baby!! Here is the drill. We all bring blankets, towels or folding chairs to sit on in Washington Square Park on Sundays for an hour or tow to chill and chat. Takeout coffee or snackage can be purchased at the Di Bruno's by The Franklin Apartments by 834 Chesnut St. As there are no bathrooms in Washington Square Park, I'd suggest using the public restrooms in The Fashion District or you can try one of the local cafes by the park (as long as you make a purchase from them, they're flexible in letting you use their restrooms.) I will be having these scheduled for the alt Sundays when I don't have to go into my weekend job at the WWDB 860 AM Radio Studios, so it will be about roughly 2 weeks btwn each Coffee and Chill Session. Everyone will meet at the Di Bruno's first and then as a group we'll head over to Washington Square park to select a spot. I'll try and arrive about 10-15 min early to greet, as people arrive at Di Bruno's.

Look forward to seeing everyone whom can make it through the Summer and into the Fall, as schedules permit. As always, if you're not feeling well please refrain from attending the event. Masks requried. (I know that by now most people are fully or partially vaccinated, but some people might still be waiting for their first shot. We want to be respectful of everyone's safety and health!!!

Morea Sunday Salsa & Bachata

DJ George Dennis (aka Big George) will be spinning salsa and bachata beats, partnering with the occassional guest DJ, throughout the evening, as you enjoy $8 draft cocktails and dance/socialize with your fellow meetup members. All the tables will be moved to create a nice dance space on a wooden floor. Kitchen is open till midnight and has some nice bar food selections to compliment your cocktail of choice, including wings, tacos, shrimp, etc. The venue also attracts a wide range of beginner to advanced dancers - from the local salsa and bachata community, whom love sharing their knowledge. Look forward to joining everyone for a few spins and a good and strong mojito. Huepa!!!
