Philly Azure August Meetup - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) & CI/CD Hands On Lab

In our July meetup we learned some fundamentals around the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). In our August meetup, we will have a hands on lab to use AKS and Azure DevOps to deploy a simple app to an AKS cluster.

Below is a preview of the steps involved:

• Build a simple .net core console app
• Uses Azure Key Vault for configuration
• Build a docker image with azure-key-vault-flexvolume-for-kubernetes
• Push the docker image to Azure Container Registry
• Build an AKS deployment file
• Create an AKS Cluster
• Create Azure Key Vault Secrets
• Deploy the application in the AKS cluster
• Run the application

DISCLAIMER: Since this is a hands on lab, we will need to consider the short period of time we have. We'll do what we can to help individual issues, but we will need to keep the session moving forward. It may be necessary to simply observe should you encounter issues.

We will do what we can to get any pre-requisites communicated as we get closer to the session.
