For the August edition of Philly Blockchain Tech, we're excited to welcome Matthew Green, a cryptographer and professor at Johns Hopkins University. He's also one of the founding scientists of Zcash, the innovative cryptocurrency that leverages cutting edge cryptography to enable provably private transactions.

Matthew has designed and analyzed cryptographic systems used in wireless networks, payment systems and digital content protection platforms. His research focuses on the ways cryptography can be used to promote user privacy.

As always, this edition of Philly Blockchain Tech is free and open to the community thanks to our amazing sponsors. Special thanks to Elsevier for both hosting and sponsoring this week's event.

We're also excited to welcome a new sponsor this month: Postmark, the perfect email provider for all your web projects. For 3-months of free and unlimited sending, a special offer for members of Philly Blockchain Tech, visit https://postmarkapp.com/philly-blockchain-tech, or use the offer code PHILLYBLOCKCHAIN.

Please help spread the word about this meetup! While Philly Blockchain Tech aims to focus on the technical and entrepreneurial aspects of blockchain, all background and experience levels are welcome.
