Content Strategy for Personal Brand and the Job Hunt

This event is sponsored by Workbridge and Jobspring.

Learn how to use the principles of content strategy to build your personal brand and make yourself a better target for recruiters and hiring managers. Digital consultants Gloria Bell and Lynette Young, who have built strong personal brands around their areas of expertise, will talk about the content strategies they’ve employed to grow their careers, while technical recruiters Brian Carey and Audrea Parrack reveal what they look for in potential hires.

About Our Speakers:

With over 25 years of successful business operations, communications and entrepreneurial experience, Gloria Bell specializes in helping companies evaluate and maximize their digital footprint, develop their digital strategy and cultivate an effective social media presence. In addition to consulting with businesses, she is an Adjunct Professor of Social Media Strategy at Drexel University.

Brian Carey is the Division Manager at Jobspring Partners in Center City, Philadelphia. Jobspring Partners is a nationwide contingency recruiting firm, specializing in the hiring and placement of open-source and .NET engineers; front-end developers; and network managers and engineers. Brian has been recruiting Java and open-source developers with Jobspring for the last five years.

Audrea Parrack has been recruiting in the technology space in Philadelphia for almost a decade. She spent the beginning of her career growing a local boutique agency but transitioned a few years ago to the corporate recruiting world. She played a key part in leading the recruitment efforts at one of Philadelphia’s fastest growing technology start-ups, Monetate, and is currently leading up an aggressive hiring initiative at EPAM Empathy Lab.

Lynette Young has been helping professionals and companies thrive on social media platforms and digital publishing since 2006 when she founded her company Purple Stripe Productions. She works with brand agencies, in-house staff and career-minded professionals to develop and effectively deploy strategic and tactical initiatives to gain exposure, attract talent, grow business and reach new customers using the social web.

I really enjoyed the conversation and getting to know some of the attendees. My takeaway was to be comfortable being myself and enjoy knowing that the company I work with likes me for who I am. I was thinking there would be more direct information on crafting content specifically for my personal brand.

I'm giving free early access to the group for a new web app that automates personal and business branding through your social media networks. I'm sure this app is something many of us have been wishing for. Learn more here:
