What we're about

This is a meetup for Philly Tech Fold interested in Machine Learning. Our focus will be on but not be limited to Scala tools.

The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randomness) on a typewriter keyboard (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typewriter_keyboard) for an infinite amount of time will almost surely (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almost_surely) type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Shakespeare).

By utilizing Scala we can reduce that number. By adding Akka to the mix we can become Scala Monkeys and create new works or just do some simple recommendation engines or machine music composition.
