Do you make games or do anything related to the creation of games? Ever wanted to make a game of your own? Join Philly Game Mechanics, a throwdown for game developers in Philly! We talk games, play games, make games, compete, collaborate, and share. Dev Night is a creative time for creative people in a creative space. Programmers, artists, designers, writers, students, hobbyists, full-time devs, board game-makers, and enthusiasts are all welcome!
Time and Place: Every other Thursday we meet at Indy Hall in Old City, starting at 7 PM. On the off-weeks, we usually have more casual meetups at nearby bar National Mechanics or local parks. Check our social media feeds for up-to-date event news.
What to bring:
A laptop. (Indy Hall provides power outlets aplenty, a WiFi connection, and table space.)
Your game or game idea. Bring a game idea to collaborate on or bring your finished or How you build your idea is up to you. Our members use everything from Unity to Twine to Gamemaker and everything in between.
Headphones. If you want to concentrate on your work, but find noise distracting, headphones will come in handy.
