Many machine learning algorithms can be implemented to run parallel operations on graphics cards. Deeplearning4j is a Java-based machine learning library, which includes implementations of many popular neural-network algorithms. Deeplearning4j uses uses a library called Nd4j to run matrix algebra operations on either CPUs or GPUs with NVIDIA’s CUDA API. In this talk, Gary will show how to get a simple machine learning algorithm running on the GPU. He will also cover how to get started with CUDA development: how to get your code to run on the GPU, how to monitor the device, and how to write code to make effective use of parallelization.
