Imagine a world with no conflict. It would likely be a world where we are alone.
As soon as we live and work with others, disagreements and conflicts are inevitable, but they don’t have to break us apart. We understand that conflict is a natural part of life. When we accept annoyances as natural and conflicts as normal, we realize they can be resolved.
Our ability to live with others in a stable way depends on our capacity to face and resolve conflict intelligently. In moments of difficulty, we have a choice: to behave as a human being or to respond inadequately, whether that’s aggressively or passively. It is in these very moments that we have the chance to take responsibility, build our inner confidence, and overcome our limitations.
Every human has the potential to accept life’s challenges with adaptation and creativity, but only if we accept that we are both part of the problem and the solution in every conflict.
Philosophical teachings throughout history remind us that we have the inner power and strength to resolve conflicts peacefully, in a way that brings out the best in everyone.
We will explore these teachings interactively through dialogue.
There will be a break with tea, coffee and cakes.
