The Public calls with their RSVP and asks these same questions almost every time.... so, I present the answers here.
1) This event is open to everyone. Come take a look through our high powered telescopes.
2) This event has the ability to be wheel chair friendly. However, you might not be able to see through a scope that is looking at an object closer to the horizon, if you can not stand up from your wheel chair for some of the scopes.
3) This event also starts outdoors when it gets dark enough to see something in the night sky, and ends at 9:30. The public does not have to attend at the start of the event, but they do have to leave at the end of the event. Come and go as you please.
Additional notes: I highly recommend that you look through each telescope at least 2 times during the evening, as the telescope operators will be moving to new objects as new objects become available and the previous objects disappear from view.
Please help us keep these events happening by following these rules.
a) Please NO White light in the observing area. If your phone rings, take the call away from the observing deck so that your white like will not affect other attendees night vision.
b) Please DO NOT touch the telescopes.
This event is Weather Permitting. Bad Weather WILL cancel this event.
