It begins with proper breathing:
Chris and Jared endured extreme physical and mental challenges in 5f degree weather including; long soaks in freezing water, a 5 hour climb wearing only shorts and boots, and training for hours barefoot and shirtless in the snow. Jared and Chris thrived under these conditions with the mentoring of Wim and realized that we all have this infinite power inside. Anyone can succeed in moving beyond limitation using these methods and special techniques and they are honored to be your guides. Through proper breathing and training you can learn to hold your breath longer and make conscious contact with your heart, autonomic nervous system, and immune system. It also has a positive influence on your blood circulation.
Next step confrontation with the cold:
After the breathing and meditation exercises, your body and mind will be prepared for the next challenge: confrontation with cold. Through certain exposures to the cold you can make your body stronger. You can start now by practicing this at home! For example, take a cold shower after a hot one. This will train the tiny muscles in your veins to become stronger. As you progress you can even sit, walk, or run through the snow and ice. More importantly, this helps your body prevent future disease.
Workshop Wim Hof Method:
-2 days: Introduction to the WHM: Introduction of the WHM including theoretical and practice of skills plus Q&A. Great for testing the water and a great start to lay the foundation for going further in the method.
