Next Meetup

October: Hacktoberfest
Our October meetup is planned for the 9th of October at DriveTime who will provide refreshments and pizza! We're going to do something a bit different this month, and have a session to encourage participation in Hacktoberfest ( ), an annual event each October organised by Digital Ocean, GitHub, and Twilio to encourage OSS contributions. Hacktoberfest offers prizes for contributing to open source in the month of October. So instead of having our typical approach to speaking, we encourage you to bring your laptop and help improve open source. If there's a project you're involved in and would like some help, you'll have the chance to tell the room about your project. Let us know if you would like a few minutes to tell us about your project! We're starting a bit earlier than normal to give a bit more time to hack, but feel free to arrive or depart anytime during the meetup. Agenda: 18:15: Meet and greet / dinner 18:30: Welcome to PHX TS & TypeScript News 18:35: Hacktoberfest overview 18:50: Project lightning talks 19:10: Split into groups and work on first Hacktoberfest PRs
