What we're about

As the organizer of this group, Steel City Blues Society is looking to unite like minded music enthusiasts' of all skill levels. Music choices are not limited to blues but can be any genre. No need to be an “accomplished” musician, but skilled individuals are obviously most welcome and needed too. If you want to get together and make some music, you fit the goal of this group.

Bring your acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, dobro, banjo, resonator or whatever. If you don’t play an instrument but singing is your love, by all means please join us. If percussion or harmonica is your passion, that's great too!

Hope you can join us!

Steel City 3rd Sundays Unplugged!

Steel City Coffeehouse

We set up at 12:30 and start at 1:00. There's a 15-minute food/bio break around 2:00, and we'll end at roughly 3:45. Make sure to leave enough time to park and get set up, or you can wait until the break to join in. Jammers, please bring 14 printed copies of the LARGE PRINT songs you'd like to try out. Pro tip: LARGE PRINT, popular and classic songs are usually the most successful, but originals and offbeat songs are welcome too. This extremely popular and long-running jam is free, but we do pass around a tip cup for the hard-working SC waitstaff (suggested contribution = $3). Listening and sing-along is encouraged, no need to sign up.
