This month, David Dylan Thomas will be presenting his TEDNYC talk, "Design for Productive Discourse".
About the talk:
In the current political climate, it seems like we've all but given up on productive, respectful discourse. However, simple design and content strategy choices can encourage collaboration over conflict, even when dealing with hot-button issues. In this session we'll look at real-world examples of how the way we phrase a question or design and interaction can have a huge impact on the quality of conversation.
About David:
David Dylan Thomas has developed digital strategies for major clients in entertainment, healthcare, publishing, finance, and retail. A senior experience designer at Think Company, he serves as the head of Content Strategy Philly, founder of Content Camp, a content strategy instructor at Girl Develop It and consultant at the Corzo Center for the Creative Economy. He is the creator, director, and co-producer of Developing Philly, a web series about the rise of the Philadelphia tech community. He is the creator and host of the Cognitive Bias Podcast and has given standing-room-only presentations at TEDNYC, SXSW Interactive, and the Wharton Web Conference on content strategy and emerging content trends.
We'll meet at WorkSpace on Bridge again, from 6-8pm.
