What we're about

Welcome photographers and nature lovers! Photoventure's Workshops & Tours combine outdoor adventure with photography and are open to photographers of all skill levels (and non-photographers). Our tours/workshops held in the U.S. and abroad, focus on landscape and wildlife photography. Journey with us to some of the worlds most pristine and remote wilderness areas, to create visually stunning images. Locations include, Arizona, Yellowstone & The Grand Tetons, Alaska, Isle of Skye, Iceland, and Svalbard, to name a few.

Our photography TOURS do not offer photographic instruction, but ensure that you are in the best locations at the right time of the day, to capture images in the optimal light. They are better suited for intermediate to advanced photographers, who don’t feel they require as much instruction.

Our WORKSHOPS are lead by professional photographers and are limited to small group sizes to ensure personalized tuition. Attending a workshop is a great way to develop your photography skills, and master things such as composition, exposure, focus and ISO. You’ll receive instruction from a professional photographer on how to create stunning long exposure images, perfectly exposed sunsets, and tack sharp wildlife portraits, in a destination you’ve always dreamed of. You’ll also learn useful post-production techniques in Photoshop and Lightroom.

You’ll also have the opportunity to travel and make friends with like-minded people. There’s nothing worse than dragging your partner along on a photography shoot, where he/she stands around aimlessly while you spend half an hour composing a shot. There’s also no non-photographers yelling at you to get back on the bus! Trips are very flexible and there’s never any rush to head to the next spot.

We use local guides/photographers who are specialists in their respective areas, and offer a more authentic and unique experience.

Join us on a once of a life time photography adventure to Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands. First we'll explore Ecuador's Cloudforest, with our specialist birding guide. Then we'll head to the Galapagos Islands. Located 620 miles off the west coast of Ecuador, this World Heritage Site seems a world apart from anywhere else on earth. In this brutal and breathtaking, volcanic landscape, the islands, and their surrounding ocean, offer a unique opportunity to observe and study an incredible diversity of wildlife and plant life, in one of the Earth’s greatest natural laboratories.

The almost entire isolation of these islands, for millions of years, has led to a high level of endemism, with a staggering number of species being found nowhere else on earth. Millions of sea birds, land and marine iguanas, fur seals, playful sea lions, and the endangered Galapagos tortoise call these islands home. Being largely unaffected by humans, they have never learned to fear them. This lack of fear allows for incredible, up-close encounters with wildlife and has led to the Galapagos Islands being considered one the worlds foremost wildlife-viewing destinations....

Reykjavík Airport

Isolated in the freezing North Atlantic, Iceland was forged by centuries of volcanic upheaval and shifting of tectonic plates. It is characterized by it’s dramatic and otherworldly landscapes, and stunning natural beauty. From towering mountains, volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, and alien looking lava fields, to massive glaciers, sprawling icefields, majestic fjords and powerful waterfalls.

Join me in Iceland, together with professional photographer/guide Páll Jökull Pétursson, for an amazing 7 night / 8 day adventure.

We'll explore Iceland's Southern Coast, photographing sea cliffs, black sand beaches, glaciers and magnificent canyons cutting into the highlands below the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. If we are lucky we will get to see Puffins and Arctic Terns. We'll enjoy wonderful locations for sunsets and sunrises including the Reynisdrangar sea-stacks and Dyrhólaey peninsula. And try local food.
