YOUR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT FOR THIS MEETING: For this meeting member slideshow, your challenge is to use color in unique and interesting ways and to create at least one collage (3x3 or 4x4) using color in your composition.
Here are some tips:
• Color Theory (http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2013/04/17/color-theory-the-best-color-combinations-for-photography-and-how-to-take-it-further/): best color combinations for photography (and how to take it further) (Digital Camera World)
• Basic Color Theory for Photographers (http://maillardj.blogspot.com/2011/01/basic-color-theory-for-photographers.html) (blog)
• Color Theory Fundamentals for Digital Photography (http://www.graphics.com/article-old/color-theory-fundamentals-digital-photography) (Graphics.com)
Here is something to inspire you all for this month's homework.

Topic Presentation and Discussion:
Co-organizer Katie will talk about capturing the holidays: shooting candids or portraits, looking for details, having fun with holiday lights, and of course remembering to put the camera down and enjoy it!
"Pick Three" Member Slideshow:
But before we get to her presentation, we'll run thru our "Pick Three" slideshow of pictures from members like you!
About a week before the meeting, you will be asked to submit up to 3 photos to share with the group (please keep it PG-13). You'll have an opportunity to introduce yourself and talk a little about your photos. Don't worry, this is not a public critique. We're a friendly group who loves to look at and talk about photos as much as you do. And don't be shy, even if this is your first meeting--we want to see your photos!
To submit your photos, post them to our Flickr group and make sure to tag them "Dec2014Meeting" or they might get missed. For help posting to Flickr and to the group, see this thread from the discussion board.
After-Party:
Sometimes we continue the discussion over coffee or drinks nearby. Let's meet at The Free House Pub (http://www.freehousepub.com/). If you can't make the meeting, feel free to meet us there around 8:30 pm.
