What we're about

The purpose of this group is to teach people how to care for their bodies in a way that is also nourishing to the mind and spirit. I would like to share what I have learned about taking care of our physical bodies so we can enjoy playing sports, dancing, walking etc as we progress into middle age and beyond. Some of the topics I would like to cover are:

- Fascia and the body as a Tensegrity Structure
- The role emotions can play in common aches and pains
- The role posture and physical condition can play in emotional well being
- Non-Violent Communication
- Body Image
- Self-Myofascial Release using a foam roller, lacrosse ball or other tools
- The difference between movement and exercise and the role they play in the health of every cell in our bodies
