Hiya Twidgits!

Congrats!  You now own a Miller Wildcat 200 AMP [edit correction Miller Legend 225AMP] Welding Machine/Generator.

It's oldish, and hasn't been run for three months, and is currently gravity-welded to the bed of the truck.  It masses about 350lb [edit correction 575lb], so having a few folks to assist with the off-loading might be a good idea.  We were also given a steel cart (there is another 90lb for you) to ride it around on.

We will likely take the sill off of the doorway (helps sweeping up too) to be able to roll it in out of the rain, and roll it out (and roll other stuff out) to actually use.  We will be going over the ignition system, draining and filling the tank and carb, and firing it off for a test run...before making a list of other things it may need, like a new battery.  It comes with Stinger and ground cables.

We probably have (ok, I probably have) a TIG stinger and a flowmeter for doing stainless and finer artsy-type welding.  If anyone has a self-owned argon bottle floating around they may wish to donate...or any other welding consumables, safety gear, clamps, or nice practice material, please bring it by and throw it on the pot.  In the meantime, start dreaming up uses for the thing!

First SMAW welding class to be announced soon!

Anyone with sewing skills wanna come tonight? Got the stuff all cut out, just need someone to run a machine sewing some lightweight vinyl cushion covers for upholstering our chairs.
We are also installing shelving, and there are any number of in-house projects that are ready to go if you are just escaping your normal run and want something useful to do.

Oops! My mistake. It is not a miller wildcat or Bobcat, and it does not mass 350lb. It is a Miller ADAE-200, which is a 225amp welder with full three phase AC as well as DC (very nice arc) and weights 575lb plus the battery, cables, cart etc... I remember being able to pump up one end of it a couple of inches when loading it, but it seems to have glued itself to the truck bed liner...
