What we're about

Calling all Gaelophiles, Irish Americans, Irish ex-pats, and lovers of literature!

Starting in August, and meeting every month thereafter, we will read a book written by an Irish author, or a book of Irish history. Potential authors include Roddy Doyle, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Sally Rooney, John McGahern, Charles Townshend, James Donnelly, Ed Moloney, and others. If you're interested in Irish culture, literature, and/or history come along!

Books will be discussed over pints (or whatever you prefer to drink) at the Irish Cottage on 72nd Avenue in Forest Hills. First meeting will be Thursday, August 15th, at 7pm, and we'll be reading "Smile" by Roddy Doyle. We have already selected the first few books, and thereafter, the group can choose!
