Topic:
Modern Application Development with Serverless Tools

In this talk we’ll cover a number of recent advances and enhancements to the AWS Serverless toolchains (Step-Functions, APIGW, DynamoDB, SAM, AppSync, and others) and cover several best practices for developing and deploying serverless apps. Finally, we’ll walk through an example architecture of a production Twitter bot powered by Lambda.

Speaker:
Randall Hunt is a Senior Technical Evangelist and Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services in Los Angeles. Randall spends most of his time building demos and writing about new services and launches. Python is his favorite programming language but he can sometimes be found struggling with C++. Prior to working at AWS, Randall launched rockets at NASA and SpaceX but he found his programming passion at MongoDB. Randall has worked on a variety of technical and business challenges in many different verticals with over a decade of cloud experience at NASA, SpaceX, MongoDB, and AWS. He is a total space nerd.
