What we're about

The Pittsburgh Continental Philosophy Network hosts this open weekly reading group. Attendees have included everyone from first-time philosophy readers to philosophy professors, and everything in between -- all you need is an open mind. Each week we discuss one text, available as a free pdf on our website. While we encourage reading the texts in advance, we also recognize that schedules can be busy, and those who are unable to read the text but still wish to join us for conversation, are also encouraged. We tend to arrange our readings in thematic groups. Nonetheless, there is no expectation that people participate in every week, so even if you can’t commit to the whole section, you are still more than welcome to join us when you can.
