In this class we will enjoy a deep study of bellydance technique and explore movement vocabulary with short, fun combinations. Reinforce, refine, refresh. Classroom discussion and analysis of technique will introduce an understanding of the cultural and historical aspects of the dance.
This class is perfect for those who are new to bellydance, or for the experienced dancer wishing to strengthen their technique. 8pm - 9pm Choreography Study
In this class we will take our study further by learning a complete bellydance choreography. Learn how to put movements together, express the nuances of the music, and strengthen technique. We will explore the use of various props and delve deeper into the history, musicology and culture of the dance.

All classes are held at the Stephen Foster Community Center located at 286 Main Street in the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh. There is free parking in the building's lot. The entrance to the parking lot is located on Fisk Street one block behind Main Street. Register for classes here or in person at the studio:
~ Students who are unable to register for the entire session may attend class at any time at a drop in rate of $12 per class. There are no refunds or extensions on unused classes during a session. If you miss a class, you are welcome to make up the missed class in any other class in a single session. Recommendations:
* Bring a bottle of water and a towel.
* Bring a personal dance notebook to aid in your practice at home, to record notes concerning the music and cultural aspects of the dance, and to chronicle your individual dance journey.
* Wear clothes that allow you to move freely and confidently. You do not need to bare your belly.
* Relax and have fun. ;)
