What we're about

Spark your heart and mind through the practice of meditation. Shambhala Vision is rooted in the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness. This nature can be developed in daily life so that it radiates out to family, friends, community and society.

Please have a look around our website - https://pittsburgh.shambhala.org for our view and vision.

Aging as a Spiritual Practice - Online until further notice

Please email [masked] to receive the zoom link! Join us on the 1st Thursday of every month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Shambhala Meditation Center. This ongoing group explores the naturally beautiful, rich and sometimes painful, sad or difficult aspects of the aging process Our expressed intention is to become more mindful and grow our participation in this unfolding dance of life and death. Our evenings have included meditation, reading, rich & heartfelt discussion, a movie, a field trip to the Green Burial Cemetery, inquiry into various topics, laughter and of course, snacks. We are gradually developing a list of resource materials relevant to Aging as Spiritual Practice. Although founded in Buddhist principles of authentic goodness, this is not specifically a Buddhist group. Diverse people of any faith or age are welcome. There is no need to register. Just bring yourself and perhaps a friend, if they are interested, too! Please check the Pittsburgh Shambhala website in case there is a last minute cancellation.
