Hafla (party) with drumming circle

A hafla is a middle eastern style party, and this one includes casual performances by students and pros, a drum circle (bring your own or borrow one), and open dance party.

All are welcome, whether you like to dance, drum, socialize, or all of the above! Snacks and drinks provided. Free coffee if you bring your own mug (to be eco-friendly).

$10 (cash only) Children 10 and under free (accompanied by an adult)

Sat, January 25, 7pm – 10pm
Fitness with a Twist (2nd floor), 70-76 S. 21st St. Pgh. PA 15203 (south side)

Door prizes! :)

Hosted by Rich Ermlick (drummer) and Amethyst (bellydancer). The last one was so much fun and with such a great vibe and great mix of people and groups, so we are doing it again!

If you have a drum, bring it with you!

This party is for everyone, so you don't have to be a dancer or drummer to attend!

A hafla is a middle eastern party with dance, music, food, socializing. This one includes a drumming circle, where people bring drums and play them. There is an open dance floor after casual bellydance performances by students and pros. You can dance, drum, socialize - whether you just do one of those or all of them! Light refreshments provided.

Anyone who comes from the meetup group, be sure to introduce yourself to me as a meetup group member so I could announce for meetup people to actually MEET each other at the event! :)
