• What we'll do
Ecstatic Dance classes are free-form movement and dance experiences that invite people to let go of their minds and sink into the wisdom residing in their bodies. In each class, we will be guided by a theme and a "wave" of music that takes us in an energetic arch from slow, introspection up to an apex of high-powered movement through playfulness, and back down into stillness. No dance experience is required, no steps to learn - Come as YOU are and Move as YOU wish! All bodies and physical ability levels are welcome. Join us to get back in touch with your body, your intuition, your unique expression!

For our 8-week class series, each class stands on its own as a drop-in class, fully accessible to anyone. The series is designed to take us from the basics in getting comfortable with free-form dance in a progression through a range of themes, where we will explore and build our confidence with authentic and improvisational movement!

All sessions will be lead by Tricia Chirumbole:

Tricia Chirumbole is a life-long lover of dance, who is passionate about co-creating emergent and connective group experiences through movement. Tricia has studied Ballet, Jazz, West African, Afro-Brazilian, Contact Improv, and Modern among other dance forms. Her influences in “conscious dance” and as a movement facilitator include: Dancing Mindfulness (trauma-informed), 5 Rhythms, and Ecstatic Dance. Tricia’s classes weave a range of mindfulness & expressive arts practices together, including: meditation, chanting/toning, breath work, yoga, ritual, and play! You may find her dancing through the grocery store, up the sidewalk, or following the beat of distant drum and she hopes that you will join her and find joy in dancing like the whole world is smiling on you! $95 for the full 8-week session, or $15 drop in class, run time: 1 hour 15 minutes/class.

• What to bring
Comfortable clothing, preferably layers, a water bottle, your beautiful self :)
