Late Morning Coffee and Intro to Geocaching (With Short Walk)

Details
FYI: This is the beginning of daylight savings time, so please remember to "Spring Forward" the night before. We will meet at Crazy Mocha in Lawrenceville. From there, I will show you how to use the Geocaching App (please download it ahead of time if you want to play along) to find one. There will be a short walk involved. If you are not familiar with what geocaching is, it is an outdoor activity in which participants use a GPS or phone (with app) to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches," at specific locations marked by satellite coordinates all over the world. A typical cache is a small container containing a logbook and sometimes small tradeable trinkets. They can range in size, difficulty and terrain. It is recommended that you take your own pen or pencil to sign the log. You are then expected to also "log" your find on the app or website (geocaching.com) so the person that hid it knows it was found. A regular membership on the app/website is free but a premium one can be had for a nominal fee (gets you access to more geocaches), It is a great activity to get out and off the beaten path. Geocaching will help you discover things you may have driven by multiple times without noticing. It's inexpensive and good exercise too. Not every cache one goes after will be found, leading to a DNF. (Did not find). Sometimes you can't make the find and occasionally, they are missing for various reasons. Sometimes, you will be asked by curious on-lookers (muggles) what you are doing. That happened to me yesterday at the Northland library where there is one hidden. Stealth is suggested when available for this reason. You can download the app ahead of time but you don't need to have it to participate. I am somewhat new to this hobby so I welcome any advice others can offer too. Cross Posted.
