Every site has a 404 page. Most of them are boring as…well…as watching paint dry. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

A 404 page can feel like you walked into the closet instead of out the front door…it’s not where you intended to be, it feels embarrassing, and you’re not sure how to figure out where to go next.

A well-designed 404 page feels like discovering an Easter egg. Crafting a good 404 page uses creativity, is fun to do, and creates a unique user experience for any site visitor who ends up there.

This talk will provide examples of fun 404 pages, how to determine the best components for your site, and how to implement a 404 page easily.

Attendees will leave with some great examples and action items to make every site a little more fun.
